I have lived in Beijing for more than five years and a witnessed the nation’s rapid development. There’s been dramatic changes not only in its infrastructure and technology but also changes in the country’s society. The exhibition highlights the past five years of China’s amazing achievements. China has accomplished much in the past few years, but how will the future look? What can we do to improve our countries development while cooperating with China?

At the Beijing exhibition Center I could see many people from different parts of China, who were excited to see the exhibit for themselves. The exhibition that can give you a good impression on the rapid growth in China in several areas such as:  High speed rail, mobile payment, infrastructure, on line consumption, health care, education, green development, military equipment, space race, etc.

The exhibition emphasizes unity. I have been studying and doing business for several years and I used to hear that the big company eats the small one, then the concept changed and it was in our minds that the fast company eats the slow company, but now making a comparison between companies and governments, I can say that to have a direction, one target, one goal have been the most important advantage and China knows where it is going.

Chinese President Xi Jinping and also the General Secretary of the Communist Party of China, is featured prominently at the exhibition. He played a leading role in the country to pursue a one goal and all the strategies, work together to improve China. That’s impressive coordination and vision from China’s leadership, which provide all of us with an important lesson. We can also talk about the "Chinese dream," — to build a moderately prosperous society and realize national rejuvenation. China has about 1.4 billion people and they belong to different ethnic groups, speak different languages, have different habits and different customs, which would mean the government does not have an easy task to unite the country under one direction. Some countries in the world are constantly changing plans and do not have long term goals, furthermore we have scarce coordination among different sectors and leaders inside our countries to pursue the same goal. Unity is an important lesson to learn from China.

Another remarkable aspect in the exhibition demonstrates how China works so hard to coordinate and improve health and wellness for people all over the world. Beijing has formed better friendship ties with many countries and regions in the world to support win-win relations as well. Such is the case of the Belt and Road Initiative that increases connectivity and gives more opportunities to economies across Asia, Africa, Europe and other areas; promoting common development for all. China holds remarkable participation in new institutions of global governance such as the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) and BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) New Development Bank. So countries could boost development together and do it faster and better.

Another aspect of the exhibition featured China’s campaign on anti-corruption, and transparency to build a better society and environment that promotes honest business activities in the country. In certain countries exporting is not an option, it is a must in order to generate revenue and growth, some governments and private companies are working together to promote national products and services abroad. They are doing a laudable work but the most important export multiplier is not outside our countries. It is inside our countries. It means: mature institutions and transparency inside our countries give firms a better environment to expand, resulting in more competitive exports in the international market.

The exhibition offers models for other nations to follow as they hope to achieve greater results. The construction and technology development are important, since they give a base to develop, but we need to remark on the political issues and human development, which have a stronger impact for our countries. We have around 500,000 foreigners studying in China, who are witnessing and learning at this crucial juncture. We expect in the near future to apply all this knowledge and experiences in our countries to create a better world in cooperation with all other nations.
