The program for the 2008 Summer Olympic Games in Beijing has been finalized. It will include twenty-eight sports and three hundred and two events.

There will be a hundred and twenty-seven women's events, two more than the Athens Games in 2004. Several new events have also been added to the program for Beijing 2008. These include the women's three thousand meter steeplechase, the men's and women's BMX, women's foil and sabre team events, men's and women's marathon and ten kilometer swimming events. The Beijing Olympics will take place between August the eighth and twenty-fourth, 2008. And the Para-Olympics will run from August 18th till 28th.
