Guru of literary Translation Yang Xianyi passes away

In the early 1960s, Yang and his wife Gladys started translating "A Dream of the Red Mansions", suspended the work for some time and eventually completed the translation in 1974. The book was published in three volumes by the Foreign Languages Press in Beijing from 1978 through 1980.
