He stands at a towering height with the body weight to match. He is an award winning author and you probably know him as the world class Chinese baritone who is internationally acclaimed and whose operatic talents are praised by none other than Placido Domingo. He is Sun Yu.

Sun Yu usually introduces himself like this, "My name is Sun Yu. I'm Pop Star Sun Guoqing's brother." In China, those who know Sun Guoqing are obviously much more than those who know Sun Yu. But among the overseas Chinese singers, Sun Yu is a famous name. He is the first Chinese to win first place in Wagner's Vocal Contest, and even Placido Domingo has raised his talent. Sun Yu has performed many of the most famous operas, such as Turandot, Themes and Plotsand and Aida. He calls himself "Qiu Piao" in Chinese--a Global Drifter. He went abroad in 1988, living in the United States for 5 years and Germany for 8 years. Recently he focused his career on America again.
