UAE, Japan discuss joint energy cooperation

The United Arab Emirates's Minister of Energy, Mohammed bin Dhaen AL Hamili, has met with Japanese Economy,Trade and Industry Minister Masayuki Naoshima in Abu Dhabi. The meeting explored prospects of cooperation in oil and gas and reviewed the current situation in world oil markets.

The UAE minister praised the role the Japanese companies are playing in developing his country's oil and gas industry and to comprehensive development. The Japanese minister expressed the desire of the new Japanese government to maintain cooperation with UAE in energy. He also invited the UAE minister to participate in the Arab-Japan economic forum to be held in December in Tokyo.
