Xi Jinping meets Australian guest

Vice President Xi Jinping has met with visiting Australian Senate President John Hogg in Beijing. Xi Jinping says that under the efforts from both sides, the Sino-Australian relationship has developed fast in many fields and at various levels.

Xi Jinping also says China places great importance on the Sino-Australian relationship. He says China would like to work with Australia to strengthen communication and deepen cooperation.

Hogg says Australia expects to increase the friendship and understanding between the countries, and to strengthen cooperation in many fields.
