DPRK takes pride in its ginseng

Ginseng is well-known around the world as a health supplement. But not many know that it is also one of the products the Democratic People's Republic of Korea is most proud of. In Kaesong, the finest quality ginseng has been grown there for centuries. Wan Chuning has more.

Kaesong is a city which found itself on the northern side of the dividing line between the two Koreas.

For centuries before the division of the country, the city was the traditional home of ginseng on the Korean peninsula.

Experts claim that the ginseng grown around the city is superior to any other variety.
