Chinese premier Wen Jiabao held a news conference following the opening ceremony of fourth ministerial meeting of Forum on China-African Cooperation in the resort town of Sharm el-Sheikh, in Egypt.

Premier Wen has wrapped up his Egypt visit and left for Beijing on Monday.

Wen Jiabao says the eight new measures for China-Africa cooperation declared by China in the meeting will devote more attention to improving people's livelihoods, strengthening agricultural and infrastructure construction, reinforce environmental protection, and consolidate social causes such as health and education.

Wen Jiabao also says that despite the global economic crisis, China will not decrease aid to African countries. He says the friendly relationship with the continent has lasted half century and African countries have been assisted without political conditions.
