Bangladesh allows import of 18 Bhutan products

Bangladeshi Prime Minister, Sheikh Hasina, says her country will grant free access to 18 Bhutanese products to its market. Hasina was addressing a meeting with her Bhutanese counterpart Jigme Thinley in Bhutan last Saturday.

A trade agreement between Bangladesh and Bhutan was also signed. Bangladeshi Commerce Minister Faruque Khan and Bhutanese Minister for Economic Affairs Ninpo Khandu Wangchhuck signed the agreement on behalf of their respective countries. Hasina also handed over earthquake relief assistance materials to her Bhutanese counterpart.
