Mailand is Taiwan´s top export market

The Chinese mainland has become Taiwan's largest export market. The Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, made the remarks at the opening ceremony of the First Guangxi-Taiwan Trade Fair held in Nanning, capital of south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

Official statistics show that from 1988 to the end of October this year, the Chinese mainland has approved a total of nearly 68 thousand Taiwan-invested business projects, worth 87 billion US dollars. The total trade volume between the two sides has reached some 480 billion US dollars. Taiwan piled up a trade surplus of 320 billion US dollars against the mainland in the past 20 years, making the mainland Taiwan's largest source of trade surplus. The Taiwan Affairs Offices says the Chinese mainland will further improve business environment for Taiwan investors in the coming years.
