Imported auto expo tickets popular

The economic rebound and booming auto sales in the first half of this year have heated up interest in an upcoming auto expo. Although it's still two weeks away, tickets for the Fourth Shanghai Imported Auto Expo are selling like hot cakes. As the only imported auto show in eastern China, this year's expo has issued over 100,000 tickets.

That's double last year's figure. Exhibitors are also rushing in, as the steaming market of imported luxury cars has boosted their confidence. Organizers say the number of auto models on display this year will increase more than 20 percent from a year earlier. China has become Asia's largest auto importer. Experts predict that China's auto imports will leap 10 percent this year.
