The Autumn Property Expo in Beijing is underway. In addition to the new and pre-owned properties, the event also includes overseas properties.

The major second-hand property agencies in Beijing have made great preparations for the expo, and have brought more than 10-thousand units to show. Among them, the majority are two-bed room apartments with a floor space under 120 square meters and the prices between 900-thousand and 1.2 million yuan. The prices for second-hand housing have been increasing since the beginning of the year in Beijing. For example, a unit like this one cost about seven-thousand yuan per square meter several months ago, but now it's increased to eight-thousand yuan.

A home buyer said, "The price has increased more than 1,000 yuan per square meter."

And the properties in the city center are far more expensive than those in the suburbs.

A home buyer said, "The apartments in the city center are 30,000 yuan per square meter, twice that in the Tong Zhou District."

Chinese home buyers have started to look for property overseas and this gives agencies abroad some new opportunities. Nine overseas agencies are at this year's expo.

A property agent in Australia said, "We sell very well and there are many customers. "

A property agent in USA said, "We are very confident about the Chinese market. We have signed a bit more than 80 deals today and more than 100 people showed their interest. "

Some overseas agencies say they can pay the Chinese home buyers for their air tickets to Australia and offer them free accommodation if they intend to buy houses in the country.
