China is to impose five-year anti-dumping tariffs on imports of adipic acid from the United States, the European Union and the Republic of Korea from Monday. The tariffs range from 5 to 35.4 percent.
The Ministry of Commerce says its investigation department ruled that the three economies had dumped adipic acid on the Chinese market, causing substantial damage to the domestic industry.
The investigation began a year ago. Adipic acid is mainly used to make Nylon and PVC.
