CCB: China's Q4 growth will top 10%

2009-11-03 13:58 BJT

The China Construction Bank is forecasting the country's economic growth will exceed 10 percent in the fourth quarter. A report released today (Tuesday) credits climbing export orders and increasing domestic consumption.

The report says China's full year economic growth will reach 8.3 percent. As the economy rebounds, both investor and consumer confidence will rise, further strengthening recovery.

Last week, the National Bureau of Statistics said the purchase management index rose to 55 percent in October, up nearly 1 percentage point from September. And as developed countries show more signs of recovery, China's exports will pick up, with the trade surplus expected to reach 250 billion US dollars this year.

Experts suggest keeping monetary policies relatively loose and not withdrawing stimulus measures too early.
