The 17th Informal APEC Economic Leaders' Meetings will open next Saturday in Singapore.

According to Reuters, who received the first draft declaration for the meeting, APEC leaders have agreed to continue their current economic stimulus policies, until the global economy soundly recovers. They will also join hands to promote global trade by speaking out against protectionism.

APEC leaders will also agree to work together with the WTO to finish the DOHA Round of trade talks by 2010. In the first draft declaration for finance ministers and bank governors, APEC will carefully decide when to end stimulus policies, in order to prevent a second crisis.
