Banks lend 253 bln yuan in loans in Oct.

China's central bank also released monetary supply figures for October. Looking at the figures banks extended 253 billion yuan in new loans last month. The figure is less than half of the 516 billion yuan in September.

For the first ten months, lending totaled 8.92 trillion yuan, far exceeding the government's target of five trillion yuan for the all of this year.
