State Council approves Shanghai Disneyland

The National Development and Reform Commission has declared that the Shanghai Disneyland project has been formally approved by the State Council.

The Shanghai Disneyland Theme Park is a co-investment between Chinese and US companies. The project will be located in Chuansha county in Pudong new district, and will take up 116 hectares. The project is expected to open within five years and is expected to cost 3.5 billion US dollars.
