Special Report: 2010 Spring Festival |

The rush is on to get home for the Spring Festival. Last week has seen millions of migrant workers board trains and buses as they headed back to their families to celebrate a new lunar year.

China has as many as 150 million migrant workers, who make up most of travel volumes over this peak period. Most spend the year away from home earning their living, with the Spring Festival offering for most their only chance to return bearing gifts for family members.

Given the sheer numbers of passengers over the Chinese New Year travel peak, the Chun Yun is generally considered the single largest act of human migration that takes place on a regular basis.
