46 cities to form tourism alliance

Also in Sanya, representatives of 46 cities are launching an alliance known as National 5A-Class Scenic Spots, the highest rating by the National Tourism Administration.

As a non-profit organization, the alliance will integrate the resources of its members on management, human resources, and marketing to serve the interests of all 46 cities.

Professor Wang Xingbin, from Beijing International Studies University, says the alliance will promote the idea among both domestic and overseas tourists that cities with 5A-Class scenic spots are the most beautiful places in China.
