A magazine published by the General Administration of Customs has released the top 200 export companies for 2009 in China. Overseas-invested firms and Chinese manufacturers make up most of the list. 153 foreign-invested firms dominate the list, 12 more than previous year.

Statistics also show these foreign-invested ventures exported commodities worth over 250 billion US dollars last year, making up nearly 78 percent of the total export value. Meanwhile, most of these companies belong to the manufacturing sector, which reveals that China lags behind in terms of competitiveness in world trade.
