2010-04-22 14:36 BJT

Local banks in the quake zone are resuming business as soon as possible to meet rising demand for financial services. The banks are setting up temporary outlets in tents and extending office hours.

This outlet was set up within 36 hours after the earthquake struck. It's the first to resume operation. So far, it's dealt with more than 1,000 cases. The Postal Savings Bank of China is using a mobile service van.

The measures aim to ensure adequate cash supplies to allow convenient deposits and withdrawals.
