China human rights improving

The third session of the China Society for Human Rights Studies has held its second meeting.

The head of the non-governmental organization says the situation of Chinese Human Rights now is at its best period. Luo Haocai says the Chinese government insists on its fundamental principle of putting people first, and sticking to constitutional principles of "state respects and protects human rights". This is done by safeguarding people's rights to survive and to develop, and guaranteeing equal participation of the whole society. Luo says human rights work in China has achieved incredible progress.

Luo Haocai, director of China Society for Human Rights Studies, said, "During the past few years, China has frequently participated in international exchanges and cooperation in human rights. So our say in human rights in the international community has increased."
