Special Report: 2nd Tibet Development Forum |
Chinese paintings depicting the southwestern region of Tibet are on display in the Italian city of Milan. The exhibit showcases paintings of Tibet's natural scenery and culture by about 60 different artists.
Many Italians said the paintings gave them a deeper understanding of Tibet. About 400 experts and scholars from around the world attended a forum on Tibet's development in the Rome. Organizers said the forum and art exhibit boosted cultural understanding and advanced Tibet's development.
Alcide Luini, Secretary General of Italy-China Foundation, said, "We believe these activities can promote Italians' understanding of Tibet, not only in tourism, but also in other areas like culture."
