President Hu Jintao has met with top European Union officials, a day after the China-EU summit in Nanjing.

President Hu Jintao has met with top European Union officials, a day after the China-EU summit in Nanjing.

Hu Jintao held talks on Tuesday with Swedish Prime Minister, Fredrik Reinfeldt,whose country currently holds the rotating EU Presidency, and European Commission President, Jose Manuel Barroso. Hu Jintao congratulated both leaders for a "successful" China-EU summit.

The summit was considered the most substantive dialogue between both sides in more than two years. It ended with the signing of five agreements on energy, environmental cooperation, trade and investment.
