Dominican Republic feels earthquake in Haiti

Haiti's strongest earthquake in more than 200 years was also felt in the neighboring Dominican Republic. The two countries shares a common border on the island of Hispaniola.

A number of panicked residents fled from shaking homes and buildings in the capital, Santo Domingo, but no major damage was reported there. Television Telemicro provided Closed Circuit Television footage showing people running for shelter as the tremor struck.
