Leading Tibetan tourist officials say there are no restrictions on foreigners traveling to Tibet during the National Day holiday season.

The Tibet Autonomous Region Tourism Administration confirmed on Thursday that domestic and overseas travelers to Tibet will rise by a huge margin during this year's holiday period. Tourism companies in Lhasa have accepted reservation requests from 36 travel groups, including 12 teams with 50 foreign tourists.

Travel authorities say some Tibetan travel agencies may made adjustments to certain tourist groups because of limited local travel resource capacity. This does not, however, translate to restricting foreigners from visiting Tibet.
