Pirate attack on HK ship fails

EU anti-piracy forces, say a Hong Kong registered tanker, the BW Lion, encountered a Somali piracy attack in the Indian Ocean. The captain ordered his crew to speed up the ship, and successfully eluded the pirates.

No injuries were reported in the attempted attack. The vessel is currently being leased by an international oil company.
