Special Report: World tackles A/H1N1 flu |
East China's Jiangxi Province has reported its first A/H1N1 influenza related death. Tuesday's announcement takes the country's death toll up to 53.
The victim, an 18-year-old girl, started to show flu-like symptoms, including a cough, fever, and headache on November 14th. Two days later, her condition worsened. She had lost consciousness by the time she was hospitalized. Despite the medical staff's efforts, she died of acute respiratory failure the next day.
