Rebuilding a better Qingchuan

Almost two years after the Wenchuan earthquake, the mountainous county of Qingchuan is working around the clock to rebuild. With financial and technical assistance from Zhejiang Province, Qingchuan people are glad to find that their new homes are a major upgrade.

Land is very precious for the people of Qingchuan. Throughout the county, buildings were constructed on limited areas along the mountainous terrain.

The other option, large areas of flat land along the river, is constantly threatened by floods.

With financial and technical assistance from Zhejiang Province, Qingchuan  people are glad to find that their new homes are a major upgrade.
