The past few weeks have seen Xie Shuling working around the clock, producing new designs for the 10th anniversary of Macao's return to the motherland. The original patterns and bold color schemes combine to embody the designer's elation for this memorable occasion.

In 1982, Xie Shuling first came to Macao, then a mere 17-year-old girl. Born in Malaysia, she fell in love with Macao at first sight. Beginning as an apprentice in a small fashion house, she worked diligently and learned all she could. Before long, she earned a reputation and orders began to rush in from foreign clients.
