A painting and calligraphy exhibition dedicated to the ten year anniversary of Macao's return to China is underway in Beijing.

The exhibition is being held by the Art Museum of China Millennium Monument. The one hundred paintings and works of calligraphy are from fifty well known contemporary Chinese artists including Jiang Caiping, Li Baolin, Zhang Ding and Wang Yong.

The ink brush paintings, with poem inscriptions, feature ordinary lives, folk customs and landscapes. The exhibition is a tribute by the Chinese art circle to the anniversary of Macao's return to China.

It is jointly sponsored by the Bejing office of Macao SAR and China Millennium Monument Art Fund. The show ends on the 25th of December.
