Other provinces are also key participants of the Expo. The pavilions for eastern Anhui and northern Hebei provinces, are under construction in Shanghai ahead of the World Expo. Both are dedicated to their unique cultures.

Anhui pavilion covers a rectangular space of 600 square meters. The pavilion, themed "Hui Culture, Make a Better Life", is divided into two parts, "Anhui Impression" and "Colorful City".

The venue is dominated by the typical, well-known elements of Hui architecture which provided an amazing background for the Oscar-winning film "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon".

The traditional culture shines with the help of today's technology.

Ai Xinsheng, head of construction of Anhui Pavilion, said, "We plan and will try our best to finish the basic construction before the Spring Festival in early February. The whole project will be completed before the end of April. It will start its final testing from Mid-April."
