Well it seems audience enthusiasm isn't as much a problem for comedians, as it's in the case with one of Shanghai's best loved comics even when he takes on classical music.
Zhou Libo, a stand comedian, has announced he will team up with conductor Yu Long for a concert by the China Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra in Beijing. Zhou Libo's one-man show has been widely circulated on the Internet.
The comic star will join Yu Long to lead audiences on a musical journey. It's possible Zhou may wave the baton, but he's more likely to explain symphonic music in everyday language, with his trademark humor.
Zhou received the baton from the organizing committee. He says he intends to show Beijing the glamour of Shanghai people. Zhou is now receiving intensive tutoring in classical music for the January 30th concert at the Forbidden City Concert Hall.
