Qingdao TV Tower

Built on the top of a 116- meter- high Taiping Hill in Julin Park, the Qingdao TV Tower, 232 meters in height, is the third highest steel tower in the world just after the Eifel Tower and Tokyo Tower, famous as the First Chinese Steel Tower in China. The Julin (Beech Forest) Park was built in 1984 with a total area of 390 mu, getting its name because of the lush beeches plated everywhere. Qingdao TV Tower, built in 1994, is a multi-function tower which can be used for TV transmission as well as entertainment.

It features a revolving dining hall 160 meters above the top of the Taiping Hill, from which tourist could appreciate the fascinating sunrise on the sea and the sea in the moonlight, as well as the spectacular panoramic view of Qingdao. Under the hall, there is a cylindric cabinet containing a 230 square meters sightseeing platform.

The Olympic hall located on the first floor characterizes with an Olympics Museum full of the 2008 Olympic-themed art. There are many scenic spots scattering around it, such as Julin Pleasure Park, artificial lake, Mother and Son sculpture.
