Chinese archaeologists have spent a year and a half restoring an ancient crown from the Tang Dynasty. Reports say it's the only headdress from the period to ever be repaired successfully.

Amber, pearls, rubies and gold, Chinese craftsmen used any expensive materials they could find to create this unique treasure. Countless tiny golden balls were set into the surface of the crown. They can only be seen under a microscope.

Yang Junchang, Archaeologist, said, "Those tiny golden balls smooth the light reflected from the crown. Thus, you can appreciate the unique beauty of it."
