The World Wildlife Fund kicked off the campaign in Malaysia's Selangor State, with a target of painting one-thousand faces with tiger stripes and colors.

The organization aims to double the world-wide population of wild tigers by the next year of tiger, 2022.

The campaign in Malaysia is part of the Fund's global campaign across all countries where tigers still remain in the wild. These include India, Russia and Indonesia.

The year of the Tiger is being used to raise public awareness about tiger conservation.
