Nostalgia at Lisbon Fashion Week

During day four of Lisbon Fashion week, designer Miguel Vieira attempted a nostalgic celebration of the past, while also looking to the future.

The notes of the collection explained it was "attracted to the future, loving the past in a modernized revival with elegance and sensuality."

On the catwalk this meant plenty of structure with men wearing white tailored suits, ties, waistcoats and jackets.

For women, it was all in the detail, with couture inspired floral touches and ruffles - most were cinched at the waist.

A selection of black floor-scraping dresses added an elegant note, whether covered in precious stones or more understated with a plunging neckline.

Accessories were also on display with guys in brown riding boots and matching driving gloves.

For ladies, there was a nod to the film stars of yesteryear with large dark sunglasses.
