The expo consists of nine spectacular events covering a global mix of film, TV, music and digital entertainment. It has provided related industries with opportunities in promotion, funding and talent cultivation. More than 500 exhibitors from more than 20 countries and regions will take part in this year's Hong Kong International Film and TV Market, one of the key parts of the Entertainment Expo. 250 film screenings and 60 seminars will be held at the event.

Raymond Yip, organizer, said, "The Hong Kong film industry has attracted lots of talent. We also have a complete set of trading systems. The expo has given us a clearer vision of our place in developing, trading, and distributing Hong Kong entertainment products. "

World-class creative industry leaders and Asian talent gathered in the city to share their insight on upcoming trends in the global digital entertainment market. The Hong Kong film industry delivered an impressive performance in the past year, winning fifty two awards at international film festivals. Seven of the ten highest-grossing films on the Chinese mainland last year were joint ventures with Hong Kong.

Raymond Yip said, "Collaborating with Mainland filmmakers has given Hong Kong films tremendous opportunity. The number of films has climbed from ten to thirty. We will exploit this opportunity to promote Hong Kong films to the Mainland. "

The Entertainment Expo will screen more than two hundred films from fifty countries and regions, many of which are Asian or world premieres. The Expo runs until April 18th concluding with the 29th Hong Kong Film Awards Ceremony.
