Since its initiation a dozen years ago, the Awards have evolved into the most coveted recognition that fledging designers can win.

They consider it a significant launching pad to start their fashion career as their work can be closely examined by experts and manufacturers.

The Awards also encourage the incorporation of fashion education with the booming fashion business in China.

Wang Qing, chairman of Org. Committee of China Int'l Fashion Week, said, "Fresh blood desperately needs to be injected into China's fashion business. Meanwhile, our students should also keep aware of market requirements in order to adjust their designs to current trends."

The 2010 China International Fashion Week ran from March 24th to 30th.
