Since the discovery of oracle bones and ancient workshops of bronze ware, new finds have been made during the excavation at the ruins of Zhougong Temple in northwest China's Shaanxi province.

Archeologists found two large-scale construction sites, as well as an array of earthy clods around the tomb. With an area of 1,500 square meters, the sites shed new light on the Zhougong Temple ruins in terms of its geographical range and function. About 3,000 years ago, the Western Zhou, flourished here, and it's the only dynasty whose royal tombs haven't been located. As a result, the excavation work on Zhougong temple, which began in October 2004, has attracted a lot of attention.
