Time now for another look at the week ahead in entertainment. The big news is "The Road", which will hit Chinese theaters on Valentine's Day.

Hit "The Road" on Valentine鈥檚 day

"The Road" stars mainland actress Zhang Jingchu and comedian Fan Wei.

Zhang plays a girl named Chunfen in the 1960s. Chunfen falls in love with a man she frequently meets on the bus. The two try hard to stay together, despite fate's plans otherwise. Zhang took on a challenge with the role, as her character must show the progression of age from lively teenager to heart-heavy sexagenarian.

The director hopes the film gives theatergoers a taste of bitterness in order that they might better cherish their loved ones.

Love Parades into Shanghai

Following the success of her Beijing concert last September, Taiwan pop queen Jasmine Leung is returning to the mainland. This time she's hitting the stage in Shanghai on Valentine's Day. With a concert entitled "Love Parade", Leung will treat fans to a number of her classic love songs.

But that's not all. The singer also plans to invite 10 newlywed couples to join her onstage where she will perform a second wedding ceremony for them.
