HK readies for entertainment expo

The first Hong Kong Entertainment Expo in 2005, cemented the city's position as one of Asia's entertainment capitals. Now the mega event is coming back, and the stars are getting ready.

At a press conference for the second annual expo in March, it was announced that film star Tony Leung would hold onto his job as the event's image ambassador. Famous Hong Kong director Stanley Tong also took part in the conference.

The Hong Kong Entertainment Expo is sponsored by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council and local entertainment companies. The expo will unite eight major entertainment organizations under one roof. These are Filmmart, the Hong Kong International Film Festival and Awards, the Asia Film Financing Forum, the Top Sales Music Awards, the Digital Entertainment Excellence Awards, the Digital Entertainment Leadership Forum, and the Independent Short Film & Video Awards.
