China announced last Friday that it would increase export tariff on 74 sorts of textile products with a big hike for most of the products, beginning from June 1, 2005 as China's contribution to the textile industry in the world. To understand better about this new decision and its impact both on China and the world, we have invited into our studio Miss Yuan Yuan. She is an official with Ministry of Commerce. She has participated in various rounds of WTO and textile negotiations in the past.
