Special Report: 2010 NPC & CPPCC Sessions |

There are two key words for the preparations for the 2010 World Expo in Shanghai: Transport and Security. Millions of people are due to attend the Expo, which opens on May 1st. Let's have a look at what's been done so far.

This is not a video game, but a simulation system for travelling around highways.

Hongqiao hub, which connects the airport, high-speed rail links and highways is one of 32 transport hubs due to serve the 2010 World Expo in Shanghai.

Meanwhile, 4,000 designated taxis will be equipped with Global Positioning Systems. They'll be under the command of a special dispatching platform.

Dispatch Officer, said, "If you dial 96822, and our platform shows you or anyone from your company located close to the World Expo park, we will prioritize your order."

Security tops the agenda as the Expo approaches.

Team 3 of Shanghai marine police is set up only for the Expo.

Armed police forces have gone through several anti-terror and emergency drills in the Expo park.

And 2,500 police have started a 3-session training course in patrolling, interaction with public and national security bureaus, as well as dealing with potentially complex situations.
