According to the blueprints, the building would consist of hundreds of facets connected to one another at different angles.

Even though the sheet shows the exterior design of this building from various perspectives, many still found it difficult to discern the fundamental principle it followed.

The Guangdong Province Museum was designed by Rocco Yim, the legendary architect from Hong Kong. SASAKI - one of the best landscape architecture firms in the U.S. – did the landscape design work for New Town.

These buildings and layouts helped to make New Town by the Pearl River the focus in Southern China.

In November 2002, the bidding competition for the design of the new Guangzhou Opera House came to a close, and the winner was Zaha Hadid’s “double pebbles” design.

However, the owners committee soon found that the opera house they were now going to build would be one the most complicated structures of any building in the world.

In April 2008, after four years of construction work, the Guangzhou Opera House was finally completed.

Even though she was far away in London, Zaha had constantly followed the progress of the project, and upon hearing the news the building was completed, she praised the high construction level achieved in the finished building.
