China's top legislator, Wu Bangguo, has met US President Barack Obama in Washington. During the talks and on several other occasions, Wu Bangguo has said China will continue boosting economic growth to play its part in the global recovery.
Wu Bangguo met Barack Obama on Thursday afternoon at the Oval Office. The two leaders exchanged views on bilateral ties and international and regional issues of mutual concern. Wu is the highest-ranking Chinese leader that Obama has received since taking office in January.
Wu Bangguo called for closer economic cooperation with the US and the removal of trade barriers protecting US from foreign competition.
