Hundreds of Palestinians marched in Gaza City on Saturday, showing their support to the UN Human Rights Council for its decision to endorse a war crimes report.

On Friday, the U.N. Human Rights Council endorsed the report that accused both Israel and Hamas of committing war crimes in their December-January conflict.

The document states that Israel used disproportionate force, deliberately targeted civilians, used Palestinians as human shields and destroyed civilian infrastructure.

Israel has said it launched the incursion into the Gaza Strip to prevent rocket launches onto its territory.

The report calls for the U.N. Security Council to take up the matter at the International Criminal Court in The Hague, if both sides fail to investigate the alleged abuses.
