The United Nations has voted on a resolution to condemn a United States embargo against Cuba. The vote maintains the half-century-old trade sanctions have effectively crippled the island's economy.
But the US argues that Washington places no restrictions on humanitarian aid to the country.
Only three member states voted against Wednesday's General Assembly resolution to condemn the US embargo.
The first country -- one you may not have heard of -- is the Pacific Island of Palau .
Another, of course, is the United States itself.
And the third is longtime US ally, Israel. (Bulletin shows Israel in red)
The remaining nations all believe the embargo has been in place far too long. More than 20 UN members took to the floor to vocalize support for Cuba. Among the speakers was the island's Foreign Minister.
