How do you top a performance from Superband? How 'bout with an encore! Since their first public appearance at the 2009 CCTV Spring Festival Gala, the band, which consists of Taiwan singers Luo Dayou, Jonathan Lee, Emil Chau and Chang Chenyue, has received a heap of admiration from thousands of fans. Now, the band has announced they will close their half-year world tour with another concert in Beijing.

The world tour of Superband started earlier this April at the Beijing Workers' Stadium. In the seven months since, the quartet has played in more than twenty cities around China, as well as Singapore, Malaysia, the United States, and Canada.

Completing the circle, Beijing's Capital Stadium will also play host to the final concert, which promises a different style than the one presented six months ago.

Emil Chau, Singer of Superband, said, "We're coming back to where we started, and in a indoor and cozy place to stage the concert, to present our deepest emotion to the fans."

Though the band was only established one year ago, the four veteran singers have been performing solo for almost the entirety of their musical careers. Individually, each one holds a solid fan base. Their first concert in Beijing in April was itself a record-breaking event.

Jonathan Lee, Singer of Superband, said, "The memory of this band will stay in my heart forever. But after this year, each of us will go back to our own work. "

Singer Luo Dayou refused to be pessimistic about the upcoming disbandment, suggesting potential projects that will keep him busy next year.

In addition to the Superband performance, there are close to thirty other concerts scheduled in Beijing from October to early next year.

Adding to the fever was the sexy, sultry, solo show last Friday from singer Beyonce, from her "I am..." world tour.

Some still in the pipeline include Taiwan singer Ah Mei and Mainland songstress Na Ying, to be held respectively on December 19th and 31st.

A singer who caters more to a niche taste is breaking records this year. Taiwan singer Chan Yeeching is to hold her Beijing concert at the Capital Stadium, which has ten-thousand seats. Eighty percent of seats were sold in just eight days. The same day will also see a performance from Taiwan-based duo Dick and Cowboy.
