Special Report: World tackles A/H1N1 flu |
An expert at the Chinese Center For Disease Control says the current number of A/H1N1 patients doesn't fully represent the actual spread of the virus, but rather, indicates the trend.
CDC Chief Feng Zijian says the reported patient numbers cover only a small part in the country. They don't stand for the quantity of all those affected.
He explained that not every patient with fever has been diagnosed through laboratory tests, and those cases haven't been reported.
As of Wednesday, the Chinese mainland reported more than 51,000 A/H1N1 patients, with 39,000 recovered.
